The  Power of Your  Intuition

We've all experienced it: That feeling in your solar plexus pushing you to do--or not do--something without a logical reason. It's what drives you to take a different route home or to accept the date with the soul mate who turns out to be the right one.

Whilst it may seem like a supernatural force, scientists are discovering that intuition is actually an expert way of thinking.

"It's learned expertise--something we might not even be aware we had—that is instantly accessible," David Myers, Ph.D., a social psychologist You can discover how to trust your intuition, choose your ‘destiny’ and start living a more rewarding life.
1. Are you allowing yourself to FEEL?
Firefighters seem to know when to get out of a burning building as if they
have a sixth sense. "Your subconscious spots anomalies." Firemen are constantly
going through an internal checklist. As soon as something feels ‘off’ they know to get out.

​Practice

Start to focus your attention on places you’re used to or know very well like your office or home or neighbourhood area. As your mind to find 3 things in each
that you've not noticed before.  By doing this it will help train you to become aware of changes or irregularities. Use this information to make a decision.
Example, you look at your living room and notice for the first time an electric cord frayed or looking old, you replace it.  By training yourself to look for anything ‘different’ in your environment you’ll be increasing your intuition.  ​
2. Can you truly listen?
To increase your intuition, you need practice clear focussed attention to what people and your environment are telling you. The more information you take in,
the more you have to draw from when it comes time to make an important decision.

Let’s be honest

Ask.  "How often do I cut people off? Am I often trying to get my point across rather
than listening?" Do I second guess what people are going to say before they do and if it doesn’t match, I’ve switched off? If this is the case, maintain eye contact
with the person speaking to you. It’s been found we’re far less likely to interrupt someone we’re looking at.  You can also do this if you give sessions on line. Simply use your sixth sense to focus or stare at the screen whilst listening. This will help you really hear everything that is said. Overtime it will help you pick up on things people don’t say.  ​
3. Notice Energy?
Highly intuitive people may seem like mind readers, but the truth is, they're good at guessing what people around them are thinking--largely because they're adept at receiving the energy or non - verbal signals.
4. Do you take risks?
I know, it’s been banded around for what seems like an age, ‘’getting out of your comfort zone’’.  It’s been said so many times across the self-development platforms that occasionally, I become immune to it or switch my attention.  When you take a risk, you become proactive rather than reactive.  In terms of a successful divine life purpose it increases your odds for good things to happen.
When we keep doing the same things, nice as that structure is, we get the same results and it’s difficult to expand.  If being an intuitive person and acting purely on instinct is risky for you, take that step.  What most people don’t acknowledge is if they’re able to step out of their programming, personality, ego self, their intuition is spot on.  ​
5. Do you second-guess yourself? 

In a University study, experienced chess players did as well playing a
fast version of the game as they did playing it the traditional slow and thoughtful way.
The chess players didn't mull over decisions to win.
Back to our fire men, If they stopped to second-guess themselves, the results could be lethal. Research shows that when it comes to things you do all the time, stopping
and thinking can actually increase your error rate by up to 30 percent.
Practice taking action on gut instinct.
Re you think of someone or something to do, take action, call , text or e mail that person.

​6. Can you let go and relax?
Scientists are discovering that when you’re looking for insight, taking a break from what you're doing can be the best approach.
If it’s not fun, nothing can be won!

Doing something fun can give your brain space for insight.
Anything that steers your thoughts away from daily stresses and old habits will help clear your brain of clutter. Allow yourself to free-associate, don't be surprised if the insight you gain leads to a result you never dreamed possible.

The Dating Site
During a lovely celebration I got chatting to a guest who is a tantra expert.
She had been on a dating site and been asked out.  Her response was to move the meeting as she had a slight hangover. 
Her date replied that she couldn’t be spiritual as she had clearly been drinking?
When I heard her story, it occurred to me to ask, where is this man’s compassion? 
Why didn’t he offer some empathy to her and wish her better?  He thought he was spiritual, yet his first response was of judgment.  Little did he know that this lady is a caring nurse in her spare time and has quite a bit more compassion than him.
No. 1, Use your heart’s compassion instead of judgement
The definition of Spiritual

  1. Relating to or affecting the human spirit or soul as opposed to material or physical things.
When I was a kid, like so many of us, I could see past the physical. My eyes saw the atoms and colours and space between physical objects and inside people. 
My definition as a child was that this was normal. 
It was only later on that I learned this was extraordinary and that ‘normal’ people didn’t see the world as I did. 
Yet, because of these gifts of sight, I always knew how to read people and see in between the lines and hear truth.  My lessons were never spiritual lessons, they were physical. 
How to function in a world where so many were in denial of their own truth and the laws of the universe?  I learned how to control this sight of mine and not say everything I could perceive.
I learned over time to take the physical world as ‘real’ even though my senses told me otherwise.
I learned to forget what I knew!  Thanks to meditation and my life path,
 discovered how to open up my intuitive senses after shutting them down.
When I finally gave up fitting in, I found I fit in! 
Lessons are often like that for me, when I let go or surrender, what I looked for arrives in unexpected ways.
Later on, I met people who wanted to see what I did and their journey became their spiritual awakening. 
​I found out I could help them and serve my purpose.
No. 2, be courageous enough to Practice empathy
​The Well-being Festival
A few years ago I was lucky enough to have a stall on a well-being festival. The place was jam packed with healers.  An unfortunate man who suffered from a form of tourette's syndrome and heard voices was shouting for someone to help him.  All the healers sat there and watched. I waited to see what would happen, no one was going to help him. I moved forward to help only to find the owner of the exhibition was talking to him, calming him down. Later on, he came to a workshop I was running and spoke out a few profanities and shouted. I looked on to see if any of the other healers would help him, they did not. I did and spoke to the man and calmed him down.
I have to say, I was astounded that these self- proclaimed healers were not going to go out of their comfort zones to help an unfortunate soul, merely because he was himself and showed his suffering in a boisterous way.
No. 3, be brave and step out of your comfort zone.
The Facebook post
Recently a fellow healer reached out to large groups of other healers to help her in her time of need.  Her beloved cat had run out the back door when it was mistakenly left open.
I told her what I knew about cats and tuned into hers at the time.  I knew this cat was hunting as I had a clear vision of her doing that.  I told the lady what I saw.  I couldn’t give her an exact location but knew she was in the neighbourhood. 
Later on this lovely lady messaged me thanking me. I thought nothing of it. I knew she was suffering and it was natural to reach out.  In her message she said I was the only the one of all her healing network that responded. I thought that odd. I posted her request on my facebook page and back up into other healers’ groups.  I hope by now, more have responded.

6 Steps to Confidence

Confident people were not necessarily born that way.
Confidence comes with practice and acknowledgment.

There’s also an assumption that confident people are confident in all areas of their lives.

Someone who is confident to ask another out on a date may not be confident to ask for a raise and vice versa.

Confidence doesn’t mean you have to know all the answers. 
It means you move forward knowing you’ll figure it out along the way.

List Your Strengths
Have you consciously made enough time to acknowledge and list your strengths?
Take half an hour to write down a list of your strengths.
Once you have your list, remind yourself of it often. You can put it up next to a mirror, in your purse or wallet or at your work desk.
 
Face uncomfortable situations.
For example if you dislike the idea of public speaking, join a meetup group in your area and practice. Once you do it enough, you’ll see your fear will disappear.
 
Ask yourself what’s the worst that can happen?
For example, asking someone out on a date.  If the worst is they say no, it’s not the end of the world.
Or is it that if you ask them out and they say no you’ll feel embarrassed?  Try digging for the worst fear and you’ll soon be able to face it or change it with Theta Healing.
 
Accept compliments.
When someone pays you a compliment, say thank you. Practice this from here on in.  Notice when you want to make an excuse for the compliment or fob it off.  We’ve all done it. If someone thanks you for helping them do you say nothing, or say ‘oh it was nothing’?  These sorts of self- effacing habits can bring your levels of confidence down. I remember a client saying that my kindness overwhelmed her. I said nothing in return.  That taught me to re evaluate and accept a compliment.  I added her hint to one of my strengths.   Keep saying thank you and smile.
 
The Power of downloads and affirmations. 
Affirmations are simply positive statements that are repeated until the subconscious holds the belief to be true.  If you repeat positive affirmations and put them around the home, make sure they’re believable.  For example the result maybe ‘I’m the fittest I’ve ever been in my life’, but if it’s not true you may dismiss it consciously and give yourself conflicting messages. Instead try something like ‘I enjoy becoming fitter every day and in every way’.

I know what it feels like to allow my self worth to increase daily
I know what it feels like and how to live achieving anything I want to
I know what it feels like and how to believe in myself completely
 
Appreciation/Gratitude
Write down every night 3-5 things that you appreciate about yourself and your life.
The power of the written word is strong.  Go into a Theta Healing mediation technique and repeat these things you appreciate and soak up the unconditional love and energy of the 7th Plane whilst stating your list. Remember, as you start with just 3-5 things, there is absolutely no limit to what you can be thankful for. This raises your vibration and attracts more of the things you love about yourself and your life.

Lessons in Love,  9 tips to create alive, vibrant  relationships.

Lessons in Love, 9 tips alexandra p brown
I’ve learned a fair amount of lessons in love through my life and that of clients.
​
This information could save you years of trying to figure things out for yourself. 

So here they are, in no particular order.
  1. Don’t push yourself to love unconditionally.  Leave that to the energy/ creator of all that is. Download unconditional love till your system gets used to it. Let go of forcing yourself to always be unconditional. Figure out your bottom line, what you will or won’t accept. Set your boundaries, state them, make them clear to those you love.
  2. Communicate your wishes in a relationship right from the start.  I’ve seen too many, including my past self, fumble their way through guessing what their partner wants. We’ve all done it thinking or feeling we just ‘know’ without asking. You could be in a relationship  where your partner does not have a real understanding of what you want or need to be happy in a relationship.
  3. Appreciate the best in others. Learn how to appreciate the best in those you love and sure enough they’ll show you more of that!  It may sound simplistic but how we perceive another will amplify in them as they relate to us. Same as how we look at ourselves. 
  4. Be your own best friend. Yeah, easier said than done but it IS doable. You want to treat others well and have them treat you that way too. When you manage to be your own best friend, others find it easier to be that towards you.
  5. Give up looking for someone else to ‘complete you’.  It’s a nice romantic notion but it will interfere with your primary responsibility to yourself.  Not only that, it will cause your loved one to feel pressured and that could lead to covert resentment.
  6. Stop projecting your mother/father onto your relationships and friendships. Some clients can find themselves disliking others who resemble the shadow or negative side of one or both of their parents. You’ll find that until that baggage is cleared up inside you, you’ll meet it in others. You’ll project it so intensely you won’t know the other person at all. You’ll just ‘think’ you know them. All your focus will be blinded by how you were treated in your past lives or in your family.
  7. Fall out of Love with the drama and arguing. This maybe the most challenging lesson for some. Drama and arguing just lead to hurt, more drama and more arguing. Eventually this kind of behaviour can lead to complete indifference or worse.
  8. Challenge yourself in your relationships.  So many relationships are comfort zone based. You know the kind right?  You fall into habits of what you both did in the past that felt nice.  Stretch yourself to do new things together and you’ll see a major increase in gratitude and appreciation and fresh energy coming into your relationship. You can also do this with friendships and work.
  9. Don’t ruin your new relationship with your old relationship!  It’s another don’t project note. So often we look out for what went wrong in the past in our relationships to happen again in our new love connections. Difficulties arise when your new partner/friend feels they have to make up for someone else’s behaviour in your past.  New connections, fresh start, complete your past through belief work and meditation.

Your Divine life purpose – 5 questions to discover your life mission

What do you love doing?
Your divine life purpose is related to what you love. Einstein loved rebelling exploring the nature of reality, Oprah loves helping, and Shakespeare loved writing. What do you love?  What gets you up in the morning that you love to do?

If you had all the time and money you need what would you do right now?
This is a good question that enables you to understand what you really care about and discover what your true life path is.

What would you do if you knew that success was certain?
Empower yourself with imagination -  go beyond your “reality” which presently dictates to you what is possible or not possible.  Remember that your beliefs are no more than a personal view of reality – not reality itself. It’s time set yourself free of limiting beliefs and create a more delightful reality!
 
What do you love to learn about?
If you have a library, what books do you have in that library?
For example, I love learning how to expand my ability to help people live their lives on purpose and create their own reality. My ‘library’ is filled with audio tools, books and blogs about human potential. I consistently seek inspiration on line and in person increasing my abilities with workshops, seminars, courses. 
 
What do people compliment you on?
Your natural talents and abilities are related to your life purpose/ life mission.  Do people tell you you’re kind, helpful?  Do you get compliments on your abilities to solve problems of others? Do people say you’re a great parent, or cook or writer?  Take note of what you get complimented on frequently from others. See if you can let that in and let it inspire you to do more.

4 Common Relationship Mistakes / And How to deal with them.

1) Criticism 
​
Having worked with thousands of couples and individually over the past 20 years, I’ve discovered the number one challenge is criticism.
People often revert to pointing to their partner as the issue.
Perhaps you think they have a character flaw or beliefs that they refuse to change or deal with?
It’s usual that we share common values when we’re with our Soul Mate, however, don’t expect to share all values and beliefs as the same. 
Women are known to be more critical of themselves and others than men. 
Don’t get me wrong, it’s just a simple fact.
This could be affecting your primary relationship, friendships and work.
Beliefs: Just say 'Yes' if you want these downloads. Remember, if a download does not 'take' in your system you will need belief work and digging.
I know how to live my daily life without self-criticism.
I know how to and do, relate with others without criticism.
I know how to take responsibility in my relationship for my own feelings without blaming another.
I know how to negotiate for my own needs without criticising another.

2) Defending
There’s not an adult alive who hasn’t responded at some point,  in a challenge by defending themselves.
They’ve learnt this behaviour as a child or even carried through from past lives.
Most people use defence systems against feeling criticised, some are simply defensive because of their past and are not responding in present time.
The 2 most common defences are a counter attack (blaming another), or complaining and whining (this can include gossiping and complaining to others for fear of confronting the original perceived criticism). 
How to deal with your defence system.
Respond as positively as possible, take responsibility for your reactions, look at your own behaviour and subconscious beliefs. By responding positively, you could simply say something like ''I'll have a look at my beliefs and see what I maybe contributing to this issue.'' In this way your partner will understand you are enlightened enough to look and not dismiss all that is being said.

Beliefs: Just say 'Yes' if you want these downloads.
I know how to live my daily life responding in the moment.
I know how to live without having to defend myself.
I know what it feels like and how to be safe, living without a defence system.

3) Shutting Down
There are many ways people shut down in a relationship if they feel the challenges are too much. You may find you go ‘quiet’ and withhold attention and/or communication.
You may say stuff like ‘I don’t care.’ (hey ladies, this one is 85% common to men, you’re nearly off the hook).
How to deal with ‘shutting down’. 
Simply open up communication again. 
If your partner is the one shutting down, understand they are angry and give them space to communicate again when this emotion passes.
Welcome their communication when they are back, rather than immediately complaining about their having been silent.
Beliefs: Say 'Yes' if you want these downloads.
I know what it feels like and how to effectively communicate with another.
I know what it feels like and how to give another their own time to respond to me.
I know what it feels like and how to give myself time to respond to another.
I know what it feels like and how to live without shutting down.
4) Scorn/Disdain
Scorn or disdain can show up in putting down your partner in subtle or even humorous ways. 
Of course, the humour really is on you. 
You may find that the result is you feel worse about your situation rather than trying to make your partner feel bad. 
You may unconsciously believe that you are superior in some way to your partner. 
You may assume that your spiritual, emotional and/or personal growth is far in advance of theirs? This is a real booby trap for healers.  
Because you’ve been consciously working on your ‘stuff’ the assumption might be that your partner isn’t good enough or up to your level!
This falls into yet another category, ‘negative pleasure’. Ah but that’s another subject and I’ll leave that for another blog.
How to deal with scorn. 
Realize that you maybe feeling scorned yourself. Scan your belief systems or have a session to work on this issue. 
Understand you might be trapped in your growth, thinking you are ‘better’ than your partner.

I know what it feels like to be and I am, impervious to scorn and disdain.
I know how to consistently open my heart to another’s point of view without feeling overwhelmed.
I know what it feels like and how to communicate with my partner in mutual respect.

As I began to love myself

As I Began to Love Myself
As I began to love myself I found that anguish and emotional suffering are only warning signs that I was living against my own truth.
Today, I know, this is “AUTHENTICITY“.

As I began to love myself I understood how much it can offend somebody as I try to force my desires on this person, even though I knew the time was not right and the person was not ready for it, and even though this person was me.
Today I call it “RESPECT“.

As I began to love myself I stopped craving for a different life, and I could see that everything that surrounded me was inviting me to grow.
Today I call it “Maturity“.

As I began to love myself I understood that at any circumstance, I am in the right place at the right time, and everything happens at the exactly right moment, so I could be calm.
Today I call it “SELF-CONFIDENCE“. 

As I began to love myself I quit steeling my own time, and I stopped designing huge projects for the future. Today, I only do what brings me joy and happiness, things I love to do and that make my heart cheer, and I do them in my own way and in my own rhythm.
Today I call it “SIMPLICITY“. 

As I began to love myself I freed myself of anything that is no good for my health – food, people, things, situations, and everything the drew me down and away from myself. At first I called this attitude a healthy egoism.
Today I know it is “LOVE OF ONESELF

As I began to love myself I quit trying to always be right, and ever since I was wrong less of the time.
Today I discovered that is “MODESTY“. 

As I began to love myself I refused to go on living in the past and worry about the future. Now, I only live for the moment, where EVERYTHING is happening. 
Today I live each day, day by day, and I call it “FULFILLMENT“. 

As I began to love myself I recognized that my mind can disturb me and it can make me sick. But As I connected it to my heart, my mind became a valuable ally.
Today I call this connection “WISDOM OF THE HEART“.

We no longer need to fear arguments, confrontations or any kind of problems with ourselves or others. Even stars collide, and out of their crashing new worlds are born.
Today I know THAT IS “LIFE“!

Summer cleanse - cooling and anti-inflammatory

 I hope you are all enjoying the wonderful summer.

Having been on a month long internal clear out and deciding to continue for another 2 more months, I felt an urge to share with you some valuable information about nutrients.

Today’s juice -  helps control sugar cravings, lower inflammation and reduce heat.
It’s refreshingly simple to make.

I’ve used a nutri-bullet to mix as it preserves the pulp as well as the juice for drinking.

Ingredients: Half an organic cucumber, a generous slice of ginger, an organic apple and 2 organic carrots plus distilled water. 

Mix and blend for about 3 minutes.

Why use organic?  Purely as a preventative as so many pesticides are resident in our non- organic fruits and vegetables.

Recent studies suggested  that the increase in dangerous pesticides have an adverse effect on physical and mental health.  Far more cases of autism found in children.  More and more adults diagnosed with depression, anxiety and psychosis.
 Apparently the pesticides also kill off so many natural minerals and vitamins that people are no longer able to make serotonin to balance their moods.

This is also why so many supermarkets that have ready- made meals fill them with salt and sugar. Because the natural ingredients have become pretty tasteless.

Apples control blood sugar and sugar cravings.
The phytonutrients in apples can help you regulate your blood sugar. Research has shown that apple polyphenols can help prevent spikes in your blood sugar.  That old adage, ''An apple a day keeps the doctor away'', may have some back up from the scientific community.

Flavonoids in apples can inhibit enzymes such alpha-glucosidase and alpha-amylase. As these enzymes are involved in the breakdown of complex carbohydrates into simple sugars, your blood sugar has fewer simple sugars to cope with when these enzymes are inhibited.

The polyphenols in apple decrease the absorption of glucose from the digestive tract; to stimulate the beta cells of the pancreas to secrete insulin; and to increase uptake of glucose from the blood via stimulation of insulin receptors. All this triggered by apple polyphenols makes it easier to regulate your blood sugar.    

Ginger
Modern scientific research has revealed that ginger possesses numerous therapeutic properties including antioxidant effects, an ability to inhibit the formation of inflammatory compounds, and direct anti-inflammatory effects.
Personally I love the flavour it adds to some juices.

Ginger contains very potent anti-inflammatory compounds. These compounds may explain why so many people with osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis experience reductions in their pain levels and improvements in their mobility when they consume ginger regularly. Two clinical studies involving patients doctors found that 75% of arthritis patients and 100% of patients with muscular discomfort experienced some pain relief and/or less swelling. 

If you have too much internal heat or acid, you will respond well to the anti inflammatory effects of ginger.  As always use organic root ginger and fresh.

Cucumbers
Cucumbers are a great source of vitamin K and molybdenum. They are also a very good source of the pantothenic acid. Cucumbers ‘cool’ down the body system. As a cooling plant they are perfect during the summer and again for people who wish to have less inflammation as ‘heat’ causes inflammation.

Carrots
they are a very good source of biotin, vitamin K, dietary fiber, molybdenum, potassium, vitamin B6, and vitamin C. They are a good source of manganese, niacin, vitamin B1, panthothenic acid, phosphorus, folate, copper, vitamin E, and vitamin B2

Sweet carrots are notably rich in anti-oxidants, vitamins and dietary fiber. They provide only 41 calories per 100 g, negligible amount of fat and no cholesterol 

Studies have found that flavonoid compounds in carrots may offer protection from skin, lung and oral cavity cancers

Beta carotene is one of the powerful natural anti-oxidants that help protect the body from harmful oxygen-free radical damage. They are rich in many B-complex vitamins such as folic acid, vitamin B-6 (pyridoxine), thiamin, pantothenic acid, etc. Vitamin B's can help balance hormones and adrenal glands.  Vitamin B complex  act as co-factors to enzymes during metabolism in the body

How to conquer your fears

Some people have so much fear it stops them moving forward or being successful.
Fear is the enemy of success.
Big rewards only result from taking some risks.
If you're ruled by fear, you'll block yourself from taking enough risks and block the success you deserve as a creator of your reality.

1. Put courage first and comfort second.

Repeated surveys have shown that most people value "security" or their ‘comfort zone’ over nearly everything else in their lives.

People will put up with work that they hate, marriages that make them depressed, and habits that are killing them (think "comfort food") simply to feel more secure or comfortable.

If we take the example of ‘comfort food’ many use it to ‘numb their feelings’.
I've learned that the actions that scared me the most at any given time have paid off the most. Such as starting my own business at 18, moving countries, finding my spirit mate and dating him, letting go of those that no longer served my highest and best, leaving a business partnership, speaking in front of over 200 people,  I could go on but you get the picture right?
 That doesn't mean these moves weren’t challenging at the time, but I've managed to retrain my brain through Theta Healing® to get past the momentary fear and push toward the payoff. Here are some simple ideas you can take on as part of your thinking.

To conquer fear, you must consciously let go of your comfort zone "as the thing that you value most'' Give up being too comfortable for too long and replace it with a virtue of courage.  You must decide, once and for all, that it's more important for you to have the courage to do what you must to be successful, rather than to cling to the things that make you feel safe. That is not to say be ‘unsafe’ but merely take some more risks in your life. Sometimes safety and comfort are mindnumbingly boring and anti- life
2. Discern between Fear, Prudence and Common Sense.

Most fears are irrational, illogical and unreasonable. For example, you may be  afraid to make an important call because if it goes wrong, you'll have to face the fact that you "failed." 
Or you might be afraid to confront a co-worker who acts like a bully in case they make you feel worse. You could be afraid to  start your own business because you're not sure you can make it work.

It's these irrational fears that hold you back and keep you from being more successful.
There are other sorts of fears that are actually just simple prudence or common sense. For example, you might be afraid to rush whilst you drive because you might cause an accident. Or you might be afraid to be arrested or fined if you skip through all the red traffic lights.
Make certain you aren't pretending to be prudent--when you're just trying to avoid taking reasonable risks. Or holding off doing what’s necessary because you’re afraid you’re not good enough.
3. Fear is a sign to take action.

If what you fear is outside of your control  write down a specific plan of the exact steps that you’d take in order to adapt, if and when it happens.

Once you've finished that plan, put it  aside and forget about it.
You've done what you can; it's time to move on.
But if what you fear is inside your control--some action that you're afraid to take, that is--take a few moments to prepare yourself, then do the thing that you’re afraid of.

4. Fear and Excitement are the same energy.

Take a moment and concentrate on the energy of fear that’s really fun. Think about the last time you were at a fun fair on a fast ride: You probably felt plenty of fear, but you were also having a great time and your senses were sharpened and you felt really alive..
A life without fear or the courage to do something about it would be pretty boring and ‘flat’.
5. Your fears are not yours

You may have grown used to thinking of your fears or phobias as your own. They may have been with you your whole life.   • In general, exercising regularly makes it easier to fall asleep and adds to sounder sleep.

The study used two diverse groups of subjects, one included experienced meditators, and the other consisting of untrained controller subjects. The first group engaged in 8 hours of meditation practice, while the second group were active in a range of peaceful but non-meditative activities.


The outcomes were enormously convincing, as the meditators established a variety of genetic and molecular changes, including improved levels of gene-regulating machinery and decreased levels of pro-inflammatory genes. These types of biological effects would be linked with improved recovery times after stress or disease, demonstrating that mindfulness or meditation could dramatically improve health outcomes.

Break the cycle of repetitive thoughts.
We have all heard of manifesting, the law of attraction, being positive and achieving goals. What happens when your mind is stuck on a cycle like a dysfunctional machine?  Rarely do people talk about what you can do when you're faced with a lifetime's habit of thinking the worst or getting stuck in angry and anxious thought patterns. Here's what you can do BEFORE going to the positive.  Every time you think about something upsetting, say in your mind, ''So What''? For example your head says you're running out of money or energy or love, you say '' So What''. Your brain repeats the next awful scenario and your body starts to raise it's blood pressure and your nerves feel tight, you say, ''So What''. Even if you find yourself saying this in your mind over 100 times, do it, say ''So What''. After some practice, this may take days, weeks or just hours, the neural pathways in your brain that keep you pessimistic start to lose their power and cut themselves off.  This allows you to then have the space to fill with something positive that you'd like to focus on.

Everyone's informed about courses in self development, personal growth, affirmations, the law of attraction, going on a yoga retreat, walking in a beautiful park etc.  Sometimes it's easier to create a calming experience at home. Yes I did say home. Being around somewhere familiar and comfortable  Create a safe space at home, it can be your sanctuary even if you have a busy family life. Find a corner in your room if there's no extra rooms available and screen it off from the rest.  Tell other household members it's your space and keep it that way.  As your sacred space becomes familiar and used by you, it will help induce positive feelings and a sense of respite from your every day life.  Have a candle there, some greenery and a comfortable chair to relax in. Make sure there's a do not disturb sign on the entrance area.

Deep breathing and sigh
When we're anxious it's often about an imagined future or fear of change in our circumstances and how to deal with it. We tend to create short shallow breathing.  Notice how you breathe when you're just waking up or deeply relaxed. Deep breathing is one of the best ways to lower stress in your body.  As you breathe more deeply into the whole body it sends a message to your brain telling it to relax and calm down.  Your brain then sends this message to the rest of your body and heart rate lowers as does blood pressure.  If you've got pent up emotions the deeper you breathe more you might want to let out a deep sigh.

Meditate and focus
Having done some deep breathing and sighing, you can move on and start to meditate.  Take a few minutes to focus on each part of your body, from head to foot.  Notice any tension in any area of your body and breathe deeply into the affected area.  Start to remember or imagine a wonderful place of peace. This may come as an image of you by the sea or a memory of a place that where you were happy and more peaceful.  Begin to consciously increase that sense of peace, what did it look like? How does it feel? Are there any sounds there that relax you?  Use your imagination to make your feeling of happiness and peace grow.
Blue increases peace
Go Blue.
Sometimes your thoughts and emotions build up into a lot of stress and anxiety. The colour blue can soften your feelings and calm you down.  Instead of being blue, go blue.  Again find a quiet space to sit.
Make sure you're really comfortable and start to picture the colour blue surrounding you in your aura.  Imagine the colour blue starting to permeate through your aura and into your body.

Picture or feel this as if you are a sponge absorbing this colour.  Colour therapy uses blue for calm as well as colour psychology.

Evidence, science confirms some Theta Healing® practices

Our genetics have a lot to answer for, from the colour of our hair to our mental health (to a degree), our DNA influences every moment of our lives. Science may have finally unravelled the code to the human genome, but our DNA still have many secrets yet to be truly understood. Many of the mental workings of the human brain can often only be explained by sudden changes in DNA, such as phobias. DNA works in complicated ways, it can suddenly ‘switch’ when a new situation or circumstance is encountered, and this could have different effects on your body.

Human knowledge and experience has always been passed down from one generation to another. That has been the assumption for many years until recent research is suggesting that some information can be stored or inherited from our predecessors and these is done so by chemical changes in our DNA.

This research which has been conducted on mice may suggest why we as humans can suffer from seemingly irrational fears. Someone who has always lived in a climate such as England may suffer from terrible arachnophobia, and this can be seen as strange as spiders aren’t very big! The reason for this fear could be due to an ancestor being scared by larger spiders at some point in their lifetime, and this has been handed down through their DNA.

It’s scary thinking that your DNA will have control of you for the rest of your life, or that , you’ll always be at its mercy. Some people are content to believe this, but you can learn actually turn the tables on your DNA and activate the DNA strands YOU want to control. Having been told by my periodontist to use  Flouride paste on my teeth to stop their sensitivity, I went home and spoke to  my partner about it  He told me of the negative effects of fluoride and that it’s a waste product that company’s  don’t have to pay to dump when they can sell it on to water suppliers and  toothpaste manufacturers.  I did  some research. Fluoride, or "Sodium Fluoride" found in our water supplies,  toothpastes and mouthwashes, has been scientifically proven to be POISON.  It diminishes brain functions and slows thought processes. That's right, FLUORIDE Decreases intelligence. It targets the part of the brain that also encourages you to stand up to authority. 
 
The Scientific study determined that fluoride can subtly alter endocrine function,  particularly in the thyroid -- the gland that creates hormones regulating metabolism and growth.

The report also notes that "a series of epidemiological studies in China have linked high fluoride exposures with lower  IQ."  I gathered more evidence and gave it to my periodontist.  Her response?  She wrote a letter to my dentist and hygienist saying ‘Alexandra feels that fluoride is a waste substance’. No, I don’t  feel it, it  is, I know it is.  

In 2005, a study lead at the Harvard School of Dental Health found that fluoride in tap water directly contributes to causing bone cancer in young boys.

"New research suggests that boys exposed to fluoride between the ages of five and 10 will suffer an increased rate of osteosarcoma - bone cancer  - between the ages of 10 and 19," according to a London Observer article about the study.

An August 2006 Chinese study found that fluoride in drinking water harms children's liver and kidney functions.

-  Fluoride  is a waste by-product of the fertilizer and aluminum industry and it's also a Part II Poison under the UK Poisons Act 1972.

- USAF Major George R. Jordan testified before Un-American Activity committees of Congress in the 1950's that in his post as U.S.-Soviet liaison officer, the Soviets openly admitted to "Using the fluoride in the water supplies in their concentration camps, to make the prisoners stupid,  docile, and subservient."

- The first occurrence of fluoridated drinking water on Earth was found in Germany's Nazi prison camps. The Gestapo had little
concern about fluoride's supposed effect on children's teeth; their alleged reason for mass-medicating water with sodium
fluoride was to sterilize humans and force the people in their concentration camps into calm submission. (Ref. book: "The Crime and Punishment of I.G. Farben" by Joseph  Borkin.)

- 97% of western Europe has banned fluoridated water due to the known health risks, however 10% of Britons drink it and the UK government is trying to fast track the fluoridation of the entire country's water supply.

- In Germany, Belgium and Luxembourg fluoridation of water was rejected because it was classified as compulsive
medication against the subject's will and therefore violates fundamental human rights.

include: fluoride dental products, fluoride pesticides, fluoridated pharmaceuticals, processed foods made with fluoridated water, and
tea.
 Solution?   Buy bottled distilled water, delivered to your door weekly.  Use organic fluoride free toothpastes and mouthwashes. 
Never subject yourself to sodium fluoride or your kids.   Write to your local water authority with evidence of the poisons, inform
your dentists and ask them why they advocate this waste poisonous product.

We're entering the last phase of the year.  You may have been feeling like the solid ground and plans you've made in the past have been turning.  There is a global shift in conscious awareness.  At times life can seem like you're walking no longer on solid ground but on ever changing liquid. 

As we move towards the end of 2012 and what many have believed to be the end of the Mayan Calendar you maybe noticing an intense energy in other people and yourself. It seems to me we're moving into the last phases of the old  structures of society and in ourselves.  A push to change and growth.

Some have been experiencing a lack of direction and or structure to their lives, businesses, relationships.  Some are experiencing pain either emotional or physical or both as old feelings come to the surface to be released.  Keep the faith in life, for ''this too shall pass'' (Saying originating from Indian Teachers).  Find ways to think more positively and optimistically.  More tips here, just click

Here are some more solid tips from Don Miguel Ruiz's code for life.  These are strong aspirations to live by as much as possible.

Be impeccable with your word.   Speak with integrity.   Say only what you mean.  Avoid using the word to speak against yourself or to gossip about others.  Use the power of your word in the direction of truth AND love. 

My interpretation
, if you are hurting due to change or this shift, always connect with the Law of compassion and the monad of Love when speaking. Making sure you do not speak to harm another.

Don't take anything personally.  Nothing otherrs do is because of you.  What others say and do is a projection of their own reality, their own dream.   When you are immune to the opinions and actions of others, you won't be the victim of needless suffering. 

My interpretation:  This is a hard truth to follow, but it's worth reminding yourself of it.  Many are caught in illusions of their 'story' and will repeat or try to  enforce their story.   Remember you co create.  That doesn't mean you are responsible FOR what others do or say, it can mean you are attracting it due to your beliefs.  Solution, stop telling 'your story' to yourself or others.  Find a path to heal your story and programmes of beliefs.

Don't make assumptions.  Find the courage to ask questions and to express what you really want.  Communicate with others as clearly as you can to avoid misunderstandings, sadness and drama.  With just this code, you can completely transform your life

Always do your best.  Your best is going to change from moment to moment; it will be different when you are healthy as opposed to un well or stressed.  Under any circumstance, simply do your best and you will avoid self-judgment, self abuse and regret.

My interpretation.   Stop judging yourself for mistakes, find a way to correct them. Understand that if someone seems willfully intent on causing you harm, they are stuck in their 'story' of justification.  Understand people don't always do their best, but they do  what they are capable of at that time.

Do not mistake these tips to mean you should be devoid of emotion. Rather use the tips to help with your feelings and help others.  More love, more abundance

Wheat, not fit to eat?

I started my day surfing on face book, as you do!  Came across a link to an  interview of a doctor claiming wheat makes you fat.   Bad news for vegetarians. 
Vegetarians tend to consume a larger amount of wheat daily than meat
eaters.

 That’s right, eat wheat daily  and you have a high chance of consuming over 440 extra calories a day, 365 days a year.

 According to Cardiologist William Davis, modern wheat is nothing like the food our grandparents ate and remained trim on.

 Modern day bread is made from an 18 inch plant created in the 60’s and 70’s by genetic research.

 I can imagine some saying they eat only organic and whole grain wheat.   This is like smoking filtered cigarettes and saying its better than unfiltered, not something to be advocated as a daily consumption.    Even the organic whole grain brown wheat breads are filled with an opiate that is found in white processed bread.  

There’s an added protein in wheat, not gluten but gliadin.  Gliadin binds into the opiate receptors in your brain and in most people increases appetite.    This opiate can also be the reason why some over eat bread in order to calm or sooth their nerves, that’s my theory.  
 

For those of you thinking oh, I’ll replace wheat with crisps, think again!  Most crisp manufacturers include wheat in their mix.  On a recent visit to my local supermarket, I found it hard to find any product without wheat and sugar in it, including products of meats, mayonnaise, tomato paste, dried spices and herbs of all things!

 Davis advocates replacing wheat with ‘real foods’ such as avocados, olives, olive oil, meat and vegetables which are least likely
to have been changed by agribusiness.   Oh there goes my ryvita!
Just read the labels carefully next time you shop and see if you can buy your weekly shopping without added sugars, fructose, dextrose and wheat.

I was curious to ask Vanya Silverten what World Relations is all about?
Vanya Silverten: World relations is a class where we find and transform all of our hidden beliefs about other cultures, religions, institutions, races and sexuality.   And  the best analogy for this course is the ancient Chinese proverb 'When there is  light in the soul, there is light in the family, and when there is light in  the  family, there is light in the world.'

Alexandra P. Brown:   How many different cultures, nationalities have you taught?
Vanya Silverten: In the last two years I have taught and worked with people from over 30 countries.  This course has also given me the travel bug so I now aim to visit a  new country/culture every year to gain new insights and  understandings.
Alexandra P. Brown:  Why are you personally passionate about this course?
Vanya Silverten: This course really allows us to break down any limitations that stop us from spreading love through humanity and the world.  We all realise that to  truly heal ourselves we must help heal the world.  Imagine a world where our taxes go to promote quality education instead of war, or more holistic healthcare systems instead of promoting pharmaceutical drugs.  Imagine having Prime minsters and Presidents who are more intent on free energy and the  complete  well being of its citizens. Laugh out loud and boost your immune system.

Can you remember the last time you had a good laugh?
A good, strong belly laugh. Do you recall the last time you laughed until tears rolled down your eyes – even the memory of that can feel great.  
Here’s some fun statistics. Kids laugh 300 times a day, adults only 15 according to some studies.  
It seems pretty obvious that adults, are not having so much fun!  
There are probably plenty of adults now who aren’t reaching  the statistical average,  especially if they listen to the news and get caught up in negative talks with others. 
Good for the Soul
Laughter is fantastic for you physically and spiritually.  Did you know laughing has numerous benefits for your health?
One of which is lowering the blood pressure and releasing endorphins, lowering stress hormones (70% of diseases are known to be related to stress).   It can support your immune system and increase tolerance for pain.  It can also increase your immunity because laughter multiplies the anti body producing cells. It also improves the effectiveness of T. Cells.  It can literally lighten up your soul and body.
Have you noticed on average and generally speaking, people involved in self help, spirituality and positive thinking techniques may tend to take themselves and life a bit  too seriously?
I remember once teaching a course to a clown doctor.   He and his team were hired by the NHS to cheer up children on wards.  Wish we could have them on the NHS for adults too!
There’s nearly always some humour or a smile, in a situation if you look for it.
What makes you laugh? Read it, rent it, watch it.  Who makes you laugh? Phone him or her, meet up, play with your children or your pets.  Enlightenment is about Lightening up in every way possible- feeling good could be just a belly laugh away!
 
Being positive for manifesting what you want in life involves not taking things too seriously.   Now that maybe easier said than done, but there are techniques you can implement everyday in order to be able to let go of being overly serious about goals.  
Part of falling in love involves laughter, joy and lightness of being.    If you can fall in love with your goals and smile you’re over half way there.  Putting a smile on your face changes your brain chemistry instantly. 
After all if the path to achievement in love, relationships and success is not enjoyable, why do it?

Bring your attention to what you love, what makes you feel lighter, what adds sparkle to your day?   Record daily everything that turns up in your life that is a result you want, no matter how small. You can keep it in a book of evidence.  It will also train your brain to focus more on the positive lighter side of life and no doubt increase the humour and giggles in your life too. Laughter is infectious and a magnet for happiness.

The Original Father Christmas

As the season rushes to Christmas and am busy
getting preparations done to celebrate,   a few things came to mind. What is Christmas the season of?  In my view it’s not so much about opening presents as opening our hearts.   
This reminds me  of the origins of Father Christmas, from a distant time and far away.  Father Christmas not to be confused with Santa Claus- Saint Nicholas

 The Eskimos had shamans who would enter a hole through the chimney, in the ice house, saying prayers and leaving blessings and  healing medicines for families and the ill.  The word Shaman meant ‘one who sees in the dark’ or as we know it a person who has developed extra sensory perception.    

This is a time where we can heal with our families and loved ones.  A time of celebration of the heart and soul.   I remember as a child waiting up in secret for Father Christmas to deliver our presents (blessings).   I used to pretend to be asleep each Christmas so I could catch him and have a word and even offer to help.   I’ve loved miracles and magick since my earliest  memories.


One special Christmas I saw Father Christmas come into my room with a stack of presents.    At the time I thought he looks really like my father.    It slowly dawned on me it was my dad, all dressed up in bright white beard and red outfit.  I thought to myself ‘wow, daddy’s helping during the Christmas rush’. The  truth is, he was.   He was helping spread cheer and love in our family during Christmas.


 As  a child we view everything as magickal , because we're naturally more connected  to the wonder of life and love at a young age.    Like most people, when I grew up,  I grew a bit more cynical and had to find ways back to my magickal Rainbow Child.  That place we all have inside ourselves where we dare to believe in love, spirit and miracles in life.   My journey of meditations and healings took to me Theta Healing and it’s helped me reconnect with unconditional love and awe at the mysterious in life.     Wishing you all a Merry December and a fantastic New Year.

Be Positive, why Theta Belief work, WORKS.

Realism can be bad for your health according to scientific
studies.

 Optimists recover faster and better from medical procedures such as coronary bypass surgery and have healthier immune systems.   Those with positive beliefs live longer, in general and when suffering from various health issues (Annals of Behavioral Medicine, vol39, p4)

It’s an accepted fact that negative thoughts and beliefs can make us ill.  Researchers are realizing that positive beliefs don’t just work by quelling stress.    Positive beliefs have a direct impact, if you feel safe and secure and are optimistic, it appears to help the body maintain and repair itself.

David Creswell,  (Carnegie Mellon University, PA) asked students gearing up for exams to write about qualities they valued such as independence and creativity.   The aim was to increase their self confidence and self esteem.   Just by writing and imagining the positive, they had lower levels of adrenaline and other fight or flight hormones in their urine than the control group.  (Health Psychology, vol28 p554)   The lowering of adrenaline was greatest in those students who were originally the most anxious over exams.

Is being a sensitive psychic easy or complicated?

I’ve been giving psychic readings for years professionally.   In fact, I’ve been psychic since I was born. Meaning:  very intuitive, sensitive and understanding the bigger picture and details.  Yet there’s an odd concept out in our  world today that if you are psychic you know everything that will ever happen and when.  Is that true?  Definitely not.    I’ve yet to come across one sensitive psychic or prophet who sees everything  that will ever happen.   
 
So what is the gift in being a sensitive, psychic intuitive?  
The answer is many gifts and here are some that might be  familiar to all you sensitive readers, healers, mediums and general public with intuition. 

 Yes YOU.... I know  like myself you have probably spent a bit of time in your life hiding your skills for a few reasons.  These reasons are individual and some involve collective conscious beliefs.  But
here are the gifts you possess.   
You know a few  times who is going to call. You know when someone is unwell either physically,  emotionally or mentally.  You  know answers for yourself and others and sometimes without understanding why you know.  
 
You have huge  hearts and a well developed sense of knowing.   You have empathy for others and  yourself: you want to live in a world filled with more kindness and love,  therefore that is what you seek and what you bring to others.   You understand that you are here for a purpose, yet you may get confused with all the information you pick up.    You want to know what is yours or what is someone  else’s  truth and what is ‘the truth’.  You  may be in tune with angelic realms, god consciousness in the energy of all that is.  You can possess a higher feeling (empathic), seeing (clairvoyant), hearing  (clairaudient) sense.  Some of you may see spirits; some feel them, whilst others get a sense of energy that is either good or bad ‘vibes’.

Perhaps this belief has held true for you too?  I have to feel it to understand it?  That's a major one for me as it has resulted in the past that my system was feeling too much and getting clogged up. Our systems can get caught up because we have to learn how to let go immediately.  It's made me prone in the past to pains of others. What is a psychic attack? It's not as bad it sounds. It's often simply someone else you love dearly projecting anger or resentment to you and you feel it before they tell you.  I can promise you from the bottom of my heart that Theta Healing has helped me release far more shamanic, mediumstic, empathic, clairvoyant 'debris' that I had picked up from others,  than any other healing modality. It's one of the reasons why I am so passionate about this modality.  It allows for YOUR intelligence and gifts without you having to give up or lose any of the beliefs, learnings or systems that serve you greatly. The other reason for my passion is pure love. Love for my students, love for my clients and holding their best interests in my heart. It's amazing what a great intuitive sense the heart is.
